Because of the dissolving nature of sugar, creme brulee is best when the sugar is toasted just before serving. If being served immediately, we will caramelize the sugar right before your schedule pick up. If they are to be served at a later time, please follow the instructions below.
Toasting instructions: (Usuing the sugar blend provided)
Evenly distribute 1 teaspoon of sugar evenly over the top of the custards.
Toast in the oven on the high broiler setting for approximately 2 min. Watching carefully so that the sugar does not burn.
Look for the sugar to be bubbling and golden brown.
Allow to cool a minute before serving
Or
Using a blow torch, carefully toast the sugar on the top of the custard.
Watch for the sugar to bubble and turn golden brown.
